Paying bills made more rewarding with PLDT’s Home Shopping Spree

Consistently paying your bills in full and on time can be more rewarding than you think, especially with PLDT’s Loyalty and Rewards program. The long-running annual program honors loyal customers who continuously support PLDT Home’s products and services.

One of the activities of the program is the recent PLDT Home Rewards Shopping Spree, wherein subscribers who diligently settled their bills in full and before the due dates from December 2016 to March 2017 were entitled to one e-raffle entry for a chance to win Php 50,000 worth of shopping money at any SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket and SM Savemore branch nationwide.

“The PLDT Loyalty and Rewards program aims to enrich the lives of our cherished customers, in turn, bringing value to our company by sustaining loyal and grateful subscribers,” PLDT VP for Home Customer Care and Sales Support, Paolo C. Lopez said. “This is our way of showing our appreciation for our valued subscribers and we look forward to doing more of this for them.”

The winners included eight subscribers from the DSL category and four from Ultera, who were all given a five-minute shopping spree at the SM Supermarket branch in SM Makati. Each winner, assisted by two to three companions of their choice, had the license to go through the entire grocery and fill their carts with all the items they wanted.

The lucky DSL winners were: Mylen Torres from Caloocan; Eduardo Labuson from Bacoor, Cavite; Aileen Elorde from Davao; Maximo Allorin from Cagayan de Oro; Teresita Roquero from Cabatuan, Panay and Evelyn Correa from General Santos.

Some of these winners shared how they felt upon hearing the good news. Evelyn, an eight-year PLDT subscriber from Gen San, said: “Very unexpected talaga, very blessed talaga (kami).” [“This is very unexpected; we are very blessed.”]

“We are lucky enough na sa buong Pilipinas, isa kami sa mga sinuwerte na subscriber ng PLDT,” said six-year subscriber Maximo from CDO, who brought his daughter Hazel to the shopping spree. “Kami ay nagpapasalamat sa PLDT Home Rewards at sa PLDT Home Retention Management Team led by Ms. Nida P. Limpiada na nag-asikaso at naging instrumento sa pagiging successful nitong event na ito. Maraming, maraming salamat po.” [“We are lucky enough to be among the most fortunate subscribers of PLDT. We are so grateful to PLDT Home Rewards and to the PLDT Home Retention Management Team led by Ms. Nida P. Limpiada for facilitating and becoming instrumental to the success of this event. Aside from conveying her delight from being one of the selected winners, seven-year subscriber Teresita from Panay also shared the value of her PLDT Home DSL plan in her life. “Very useful ang Telpad sa akin, ginagamit ko ‘yan para ma-contact ako ng asawa ko na nasa abroad. Ordinary lang kasi ang cellphone ko at ‘yung sa anak ko, ‘di ako makahiram. At mas madaling gamitin ang Telpad kaysa sa computer. So ‘yun ang purpose niya.” [“I use the Telpad to contact my husband who works abroad. I have an ordinary cellular phone and I don’t get to borrow my kid’s smartphone. Also, it’s easier for me to use the Telpad than the computer. That is its purpose for me.”]

Aileen from Davao, a subscriber for over a decade, added: “I didn’t know that it would come to this point—that being a good subscriber, someone who pays on time and is loyal to the company, would be rewarded in such a fun way. It’s an overwhelming blessing that just adds to the blessings we’ve been given every day. We’d like to thank PLDT from the bottom of our hearts for giving us this chance to celebrate, for being rewarded for a service that has been rendered to us as well. This also renews our loyalty to PLDT, and we hope that PLDT will continue to provide good service for us customers.”

PLDT Home Ultera winners

On top of the winners from DSL’s massive subscriber base, loyal Ultera users—who live in farther areas and are subscribed to more affordable, wireless plans—were also able to reap their rewards. One of them is Deborah Lamprea, a housewife from Cabuyao, Laguna who has been subscribed to Plan 699 for one year. “Tuwang tuwa po kami kasi malaking tulong ‘to,” she said. With her husband currently based in United Arab Emirates, she takes care of three kids and one grandchild. “Ginagamit ko ‘yung PLDT Ultera internet ko sa Skype at nakakatulong din siya sa assignment ng mga bata.” [“We are so happy because this (prize) will be a big help. I use my PLDT (Home) Ultera internet for Skype, and it also helps with the kids’ homework.”]

Charisse Tadena from Montalban has been an Ultera subscriber for eight years, using the service for streaming and downloading videos and chatting via Facebook messenger, shares: “Swerte talaga ako na na-experience ko ‘tong reward. Thank you talaga sa experience na ‘to, at thank you rin sa service niyo.” [“I’m really lucky to have experienced this reward. Thank you (PLDT) for this experience as well as your service.”]

Robbie Robin Mercado from Quezon City has been using Ultera Plan 1099 for six months, and was immediately happy with the service. “Ang bilis ng internet kahit apat kaming gumagamit. Dahil sa plan ko, nakaka-connect ako sa fiancée ko na nasa Virginia. ‘Yung message ko kay PLDT—keep up the good work,” he expressed. [“The internet is fast considering that the four of us are using it. Because of my current plan, I can connect to my fiancée who is based in Virginia. My message to PLDT is to keep up the good work.”]

Angelina Barlizo from Caloocan, an Ultera Plan 699 user, shares that the plan is affordable and ideal for her and her kids’ internet needs such as emails and social networking sites. “Maraming salamat at binigyan nila kami ng pagkakataon na manalo.
