PLDT HOME Telpad, the world’s first and only landline, tablet and broadband in one and the center of the connected home, strengthens its leadership in family entertainment with the launch of Kids TV on Telpad in partnership with Cignal Digital TV, the country’s biggest pay TV provider.

Kids TV is a streaming feature which allows subscribers to access top entertainment and learning channels on their Telpad  units for an additional P99 per month. Kids can easily click on the HOME player widget to watch the shows that they want. Included in this service are the top five entertainment and learning channels for kids—Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild and Da Vinci Learning.

Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network house some of today’s most popular children’s shows, while Nat Geo and Nat Geo Wild give kids a close-to-real-life preview of the exciting outdoors and its diverse animal life. Da Vinci Learning is an internationally broadcasted knowledge TV channel which airs documentaries and education series on topics such as history, sociology, biology and physics.

Through the Kids TV service, the first four channels will follow the same linear programming of Cignal while Da Vinci Learning will follow the video on demand (VOD) format.

“As a leader in providing world-class multimedia content, our goal is to always set the bar for family-friendly entertainment at home,” PLDT Executive Vice President and Head of Home Business Ariel P. Fermin said. “Reinforcing and beefing up our networks and infrastructure is just the beginning of our service commitment. Ultimately, it’s about providing our subscribers with compelling content that will help them forge the strongest connections at home.”

The addition of Kids TV on Telpad follows the PLDT Group’s content partnership with The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia, through its digital entertainment arm Disney Interactive.

PLDT Vice President and Head of Home Marketing Gary Dujali added, “This new selection of entertaining and educational content gives kids a new way to enjoy the Telpad while bonding with their parents or learning something new. In this era of high technology, Telpad with all these family-friendly content truly is the centerpiece of the digitally connected Filipino home.”
