Music, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Sia’s directorial debut, follows Zu (Kate Hudson), a recently sober drug dealer, and her relationship with Music (Maddie Ziegler), her younger sister on the autism spectrum.

According to Sia, the film is a musical drama that centers on two themes that resonate deeply with her: “finding one’s voice and creating family.” Other than directing Music, Sia also served as its co-screenwriter and producer. She wrote 10 original songs for the movie’s soundtrack, a number of which were also included on her ninth album of the same title.

Despite backlash from the autism community, Music received nominations at the 78th Golden Globe Awards, including Best Picture (Musical or Comedy). The film’s soundtrack also received a nomination at the 2021 ARIA Awards, Australia’s annual award-giving body celebrating local talent. Watch the film here!

The Sparks Brothers celebrates the lives and career of American pop and rock duo, Sparks.

If you’re wondering who they are, they just so happen to be “your favorite band’s favorite band”–Queen, Duran Duran, Björk, and Morrisey have identified the pair as part of their musical influences. Despite being relatively under the radar for the past 50 years, brothers Ron and Russell Mael are ready to make themselves known.

The documentary highlights the Maels’ offbeat originality, with lengthy interviews from the brothers as well as anecdotes from Beck, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sonic Youth, and other musicians. Watch the documentary here!

Dreamgirls takes us all back to the roaring ’60s, at the height of Motown, R&B, and soul.

The 2006 musical follows the story of the Dreamettes, a fictional three-member singing group composed of Deena (Beyonce Knowles), Effie (Jennifer Hudson), and Lorelle (Anika Noni Rose) who soon discover the high cost of fame through the personal struggles they face on the way to the top.

The critically acclaimed film garnered multiple accolades, including the 2007 Golden Globe for Best Picture. Jennifer Hudson won both the 2007 Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress—and rightly so, as she delivers stellar performances that you won’t hesitate doing a standing ovation for even in the comfort of your home.
