What is PLDT Home WiFi Postpaid?

PLDT Home’s first postpaid internet plan with no installation needed! The service comes with a powerful modem and runs on Smart LTE, the fastest data network! It’s perfect for famiy sharing and can connect up to 5 devices.

Will the service work anywhere?

The service works best in Smart’s LTE areas. It is recommended that you check the Smart LTE signal in your area before availing of Home WiFi Postpaid. You can do this by conducting a speed test thru your phone in the area where you will be using the said service.

What's next after my online application?

You will receive an email or a call from us to verify your application information. Kindly ensure that contact number provided is accurate.

When will my unit be delivered?

Given enhanced community quarantine, delivery might take as long as 5 days for Metro Manila, and 10 days for outside Metro Manila.

Will my unit already be activated when it is delivered?

Wait for 24-48 hours upon delivery to wait for your device to be activated. If activation problems occur, kindly call us at 171 or message PLDT Home on social media.

How do I set up the service?

Via Device Web User Interface

*Upon receipt of your Home WiFi device, please wait for 24 hours and the SMS that confirms device activation.

Step 1: Plug your PLDT Home WiFi device to a power outlet and turn on the switch.
Step 2: Place your device near a window to get the best signal.
Step 3: Connect to your PLDT Home WiFi device, the default network name and password can be found at the back of your device.
Step 4: Open your web browser and go to https://pldthomewifisettings.net or https://192.168.1.1 to access your device’s dashboard, log in using the default username and password which is indicated at back of your device and on your user guide.
Step 5: For additional security, you will be prompted to change the following:

  1. Admin/device password
  2. WiFi name (SSID)
  3. WiFi Password

Step 6: Input your desired password.

Password should be at least 12 characters long and must contain: uppercase, lowercase, digits (0-9), and special characters.

What else can I do through my modem’s dashboard?

You can do the following through your modem’s dashboard:

  • Access your modem and service details
  • Change your Home WiFi Network Name and Password
  • Configure your device

Do I need to configure my Home WiFi Modem?

No need to configure your modem! You just need to protect your account by changing your Username and Password. Just go to pldtwifisettings.net or 192.168.1.1 to do this.

USING THE SERVICE

How many devices can I connect?

Up to 5 devices can connect to the modem at the same time. Your surfing and streaming experience will depend on the number of devices connected simultaneously to the modem.

Can I use other SIMs with the Home WiFi Modem?

No, the SIM which is included in your Home WiFi Postpaid kit is the only SIM compatible to your device.

Can I use my Home WiFi Modem in other places?

It is highly recommended that you use the Home Wifi modem only in your area of residence. Using your Home Wifi modem in a different address is not allowed  as it might affect the service and the guaranteed speed of your plan.

How do I monitor my usage?

Go to my.pldthome.com, log in or create a PLDT myHome account to view your dashboard where you can monitor your usage.

How do I top-up my Home WiFi postpaid?

Your plan comes with a monthly volume allocation, but you may also top-up FAMLOADs for your Home WiFi device and charge to your PLDT bill.

  1. Go to my.pldthome.com.
  2. Top-up with your chosen FAMLOAD:

AFTER SALES CONCERNS

How do I know if my modem is getting good LTE signal?

You may check the quality of the signal that your modem is getting through the device’s signal indicators found at the front of the modem:

For Evoluzn ID4:
Blue light indicates LTE while green light indicates 3G.
For Green Packet – DH725:
Green light indicates LTE.

I’m experiencing slow connection. What should I do?

  • Check your device signal strength indicator.
  • To get better signal, reposition your device near a window.
  • Check your device Internet and SIM Indicator
    For Evoluzn ID4:
    Blue or Green Light – Connected to the Network
    NO Light – No Internet/Signal
    Red Light – SIM Not detected
    For Green Packet – DH725:
    Green Light – Connected to the Network NO Light – No Internet/Signal
    NO Light - SIM Not detected

I'm having trouble with my Home WiFi, what should I do?

  • Cannot connect to WiFi - Reset your device to default settings and connect to WiFi using default password: pldthome. You have to set a new SSID/Network name and WiFi password after resetting your device.
  • Cannot access the WebUI - Reset your device to default settings and open the WebUI using the default ssername: pldthome, Password: pldthome.
  • Cannot access the internet – Check your remaining data allocation at my.pldthome.com. If you have remaining data allocation, you may reboot or reset your device.

If resetting your device does not work, please contact PLDT Hotline 171 or message PLDT Home on social media for assistance.

How to factory reset my Home Wifi modem?

  1. Push the reset button using a pin for 10 seconds. Wait for the device to reboot.
  2. Open the Web UI go to Settings > Basic Settings > Factory Reset > Restore
