AB_Year In Review_ The Titles That Caught Our Attention This 2022

Time flies! 2023 is fast approaching. Most of us kept busy and worry-free by streaming different titles that graced our screens–and we couldn’t get enough of them! Here are our top picks for the most attention-grabbing shows of 2022.

We got hooked from the start and couldn’t get enough of these fantastic shows!

House of the Dragon

If there are any words to describe what happened in House of the Dragon’s first season, it would be “fire and blood”--straight from House Targaryen. There was certainly a lot of both throughout the ten episodes of the first season. From the burning desires of multiple characters to blood-waging war against blood, this show reminded us why we fell in love with the world of Game of Thrones all those years ago. Stream House of the Dragon on HBO Go with PLDT Home.

The Broken Marriage Vow

Despite our bewilderment at the number of stories in Philippine media focused around “the other woman,” it’s hard to keep our eyes away when the drama is this juicy. Maybe it’s the Marites in all of us, but The Broke Marriage Vow grabbed our attention and kept us glued to our screens from start to finish. And who can forget that iconic line, “Your daughter is sleeping with my husband”? Catch The Broken Marriage Vow exclusively on Viu Premium with PLDT Home.

Drag Race Philippines

The monumental first season of the Philippine franchise of RuPaul’s Drag Race was peak entertainment. Dishing out laugh-out-loud comedy from one moment to tear-jerking drama the next, each episode of Drag Race Philippines took you on a rollercoaster of emotions every week. It was the Wednesday habit that we had a hard time weaning ourselves off of. Relive your favorite Drag Race Philippines moments on HBO Go with PLDT Home!

Minx

Although Minx may have only graced our screens for a short amount of time, it immediately got us hooked. The combination of Jake Johnson’s well-intentioned, but very sleazy magazine publisher, Doug Renetti; and Ophelia Lovibond’s strong-willed feminist leader, Joyce Prigger, gives the show a ton of heart despite what looked to be just another raunchy comedy at first glance. Check out Minx on Lionsgate Play with PLDT Home!

Cheer Up

Cheer Up is our top pick out of all the K-Dramas that got released this year. This show encapsulates everything in a university student’s life, from the joys of being on campus to the camaraderie and competition within orgs and the stresses of balancing love and academics. Cheer Up is just one of the few ongoing shows on this list, and we can’t wait to see what else this series has in store for us in 2023. Watch Cheer Up on Viu Premium with PLDT Home!
