It’s hard not to notice Lee Min-ho. He’s got striking looks and intense eyes…and always looks good, whether in a suit, casual wear, or traditional Korean garb. But there’s more to him than his looks and his acting. This multi-hyphenate has released songs, supported multiple humanitarian causes, and was even dubbed an “Asian Male God.” Currently, he’s on location in Canada for the second season of the ongoing K-Drama Pachinko, which won Best Foreign Language Series at the 2023 Critic’s Choice Awards.

One oppa to rule them all!

It’s the K-Drama that started it all! Lee Min-ho’s performance in Boys Over Flowers catapulted the young actor to super-stardom and even critical acclaim. Here, Min Ho played Gu Jun-pyo, heir to the multinational conglomerate Shinhwa Group and the leader of F4, the Shinhwa School’s elite clique that ruled the campus. Despite being a hot-headed spoiled brat who always got his way, Jun-pyo won us all over with his dapper looks, tough-yet-gentle nature, and relentless affection towards Geum Jan-di (Koo Hye-sun).

For playing Gu Jun-pyo, Lee Min-ho was recognized as “Best New Actor for Television'' at the 45th Baeksang Arts Awards, South Korea’s most prestigious award-giving body for film, TV, and theater. Get major throwback feels by checking out Boys Over Flowers, only on Viu Premium with PLDT Home!

Lee Min-ho plays another spoiled rich kid in this critically-acclaimed, star-studded series. This time, he’s Kim Tan, heir to the Jeguk Group, exiled to the US by his half-brother. Tan crosses paths with Cha Eun-sang (Park Shin-hye), the family housekeeper’s daughter, whom he eventually falls for. Unfortunately, Tan is betrothed to Rachel Yoo (Kim Ji-won), a hotel heiress, who learns of their budding romance and tries everything in her power to keep them apart. As if that’s not enough, Tan is at odds with his former best friend, Choi Young-do (Kim Woo-bin), who’s also attracted to Eun-sang. With all these added complications, The Heirs is the kind of K-drama you’d want to sink your teeth into! Catch The Heirs (and its Tagalog dub) exclusively on Viu Premium with PLDT Home.

It turns out that their paths had already crossed centuries before they met, and the series has a fantastical tale of romance and destiny throughout its run. The story is inspired by an ancient Korean legend and was Lee Min-ho’s last starring role in a K-drama before enlisting in South Korean military service.
