Kim Seon-ho is known for his incredible acting skills–he started as a theater actor and worked his way up from small, supporting characters to lead roles in top-rated K-Dramas. But did you know he also has great comedic sense?
In 2019, “Dimple Prince” Seon-ho became a fixed member of the legendary variety show 2 Days 1 Night (2D1N) for its fourth season. It was his first-ever variety show stint, and he was so beloved that he even won a Rookie Award at the 2020 KBS Entertainment Awards for his work on it!
Though he had to step down from the show in October 2021 due to a controversy, the actor has since made a comeback, starting with the neo-noir action film The Childe and the upcoming movie, The Tyrant. Seon-ho has also toured across Asia for various fan meets and showed his love to Filipino fans by returning to the Philippines for the second time on July 22!

- When Seon-ho got lucky as a variety rookie
Making members drink sand lance extract or fish sauce is a recurring prank in 2D1N. For Season 4’s first episode, Seon-ho made a lasting impression on viewers by picking 5 cups of Iced Americano amid a sea of sand lance extracts, helping his fellow members win an SUV for their trip to Danyang!
- Whenever Paper Doll Seon-ho appears
Seon-ho is the first to admit that he can’t dance, and he’s even been nicknamed “Paper Doll” for his creaky dance steps. Still, he looks adorable and funny whenever he attempts to bust a move. Just watch him dance with Shinee’s Taemin as the 2D1N members try to learn the steps to the pop star’s song “Move”!
- When Seon-ho chose to go all-out as an entertainer
Did you know Seon-ho’s agency actually told him to tone down his eagerness to be funny? That’s because his handsome face often gets scrunched up whenever he gets too intense with 2D1N’s games, and his image as an actor might suffer, LOL. But don’t worry, Seon-ho is committed to being an entertainer, and will do anything to make people laugh!
- Whenever Seon-ho loses energy at night
As the show's name is 2 Days 1 Night, the cast is expected to shoot episodes overnight. Throughout Season 4, it’s become a running joke how Seon-ho is the most active member during the daytime but slowly loses energy in the evenings. It’s not a surprise since some of his drama shoots overlap with the variety show’s schedule, but his tiredness results in hilarious moments!
- Whenever Seon-ho gets scared
Since variety shows are less scripted, the cast tends to let their guard down and show more of their authentic personalities. While Seon-ho is a great actor, 2D1N revealed that he’s a big coward, haha! Just watch him panic when he thinks he’s seen a ghost on a deserted island.
