You booted up your PC, and it seems way too slow than usual. You check what is up and see everything normal, but why is it so slow? Even though it feels like you just got your system recently, the reality may be that time has made its presence on your computer. But you cannot upgrade just yet; not much cash to dish out, or perhaps you want to wait for a sale to be available.
Do not worry; you are not alone. Our digital-savvy society calls for a system to keep up with all the tasks and
challenges. So, if you find yourself waiting for ages for your PC to load or respond, it may be time to give that
performance boost it needs. Stay tuned as we provide simple yet effective tips to boost performance.
Check your power settings. The first thing to consider is whether your system operates on power
saving or even a balanced power option. This is especially needed for laptop users as the battery-saving option may
be the default. This causes the system to limit performance for the sake of battery life. Simply switching it to
high can boost processing speed.

If you have laptops with different programs like Legion and their Vantage program, you may want to see if it has a
performance mode available.
Sacrificing beauty for the greater good! Another quick and effective tip is turning down your
visuals. If you didn’t know, Windows has various visual effects that, although directed to smooth your
experience, can impact overall performance. Adjusting, or even turning it off into a more basic approach, can free
up system resources to allow you to enjoy the programs or games you want.

Fix up your startup programs. When downloading programs, we tend to disregard their access to our
system. By that, I mean their capability of launching whenever we turn on our systems. More often than not, a lot of
these programs are not essential for your computer’s basic functionality. To quickly check what those programs
are, open up your task manager to review and later disable unnecessary startup programs. This can significantly
reduce the time it takes for your computer to boot up.
A rule of thumb to consider is to think about how often you need these programs. If you don’t use it within the
first hour of your day, you probably won’t need it, but that’s just my opinion.

Even your system needs its beauty rest. Closing your laptop screen is never enough. When you
don’t restart, you allow more and more apps to occupy the memory and clutter your computer’s background.
Restarting allows it to be wiped clean from unwanted processes, stopping it from needlessly consuming your
PC’s resources.
I was lazy and just closed my laptop, thinking it was fine. Thank goodness that
habit was stopped. Now, I make sure to always turn my devices off for the day to preserve the performance of my
laptop and PC.
Stuttering issues in-game aren’t always because of your system but your network connectivity. Reduce the amount
of lag you go through with PLDT
