Our Dear PLDT Customers, The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically impacted Filipinos here and abroad and we are one with you during these difficult times. I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you an update of all our efforts in trying to keep you connected and safe at your homes.

Keeping Filipinos Connected at Home
We know how important it is for you to have stable, reliable and fast Internet connection at home, especially now with the Enhanced Community Quarantine. We’ve implemented several programs including a free SPEED BOOST in highly affected areas in Luzon bringing up minimum speeds to 25 MBPs. For our prepaid PLDT Home WiFi Customers, we extended the double data promo until April 30.

With the expected increase of home internet usage, we’ve improved our network by expanding the caching capacity of our Data Centers to help avoid network overload and accommodate data traffic of commonly used social media and streaming sites such as Google, Facebook, and Netflix. For those who will have difficulty paying their bills on time, we’ve also implemented a 30-day bill payment extension period and suspended disconnection of overdue accounts with the bill period between March 16 to April 15.

Free Access to Content
Our PLDT Prepaid Home WiFi and PLDT Home volume-based customers now have free access to news websites for timely information about COVID-19. The list includes verified government and news websites—the DOH NCOV tracker, the official websites of the Department of Health and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), plus the news sites of CNN Philippines, ABS-CBN, Philstar, BusinessWorld, GMA News Online, and TV5.

Free calls are also available for PLDT, Smart, Sun and TNT subscribers to the COVID-19 hotline 1555, National Emergency Response Center 8888 and Citizen Complaint Hotline 911. PLDT Home Fibr Plan 1899 and above in Luzon are also given a one-month subscription to iFlix VIP usable until April 30.

What if I can’t pay my bill on time?

For you and your family to stay connected given the government’s decision to extend the Enhanced Community Quarantine due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are stretching the payment period and suspending the disconnection of overdue accounts of our postpaid PLDT Home customers until April 30, 2020.

Will I be billed after the payment extension period?

Yes, you will receive your bill after the payment extension period. For your safety and convenience, you may opt to settle your bill online. For your reference you may check this link for the list of online payment channels:

Where can I get help with my PLDT Home account?

Our online platforms such as,, and remain open 24/7. For your technical support needs, we are ready to assist through our Hotline 171, which has adjusted its operating hours from 9am to 6pm from Mondays to Sundays.

Will PLDT Home Sales and Service Centers remain open?

Due to the enhanced community quarantine, Luzon-based Stores and Service Centers are temporarily closed. Our sales and service centers in Visayas and Mindanao are also observing adjusted operating hours.

We also encourage our customers to limit in-store transactions. Once the enhanced community quarantine is lifted, our Luzon-based stores and service centers will definitely be open to cater to your needs. We will give you updates soon.

What if I need a technician to check my internet connection at home?

We ensure the health and safety of both our customers and employees as we carefully control the operations of our field and support personnel. While field crews – such as repair and maintenance personnel – remain ready to address emergency requirements and critical operations, we make sure to protect them and our customers at home by following strict health, safety, and sanitation procedures:

  • Protective gear - Repairmen will have face masks and gloves with them to use during home visits
  • Proper hand sanitation - Repairmen are instructed to regularly disinfect their hands with alcohol during home visits and wash their hands before and after their visits
  • Regular temperature checks - Repairmen are tested before each visit and must not have any signs of cough, colds or fever (body temperature must be less than 37.8 C)
  • Social distancing - Repairmen will observe two meters distance away from people in your home

What is PLDT Home doing to help the customers and the community?

During this enhanced community quarantine, PLDT Home enables families to connect, study, work, and play at home by providing the strongest and most reliable internet connection and digital services.

  • Improved Network and Free Speedboost
  • PLDT has improved its network by expanding the caching capacity of its Data Centers. This will help avoid network overload and accommodate data traffic of commonly used social media and streaming sites such as Google, Facebook, and Netflix.
  • Understanding the need for a strong and reliable internet connection at home now, PLDT Home has also rolled out free Speedboost until April 30 for highly-affected areas in Luzon including Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Kalinga, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Tarlac. This translates to minimum speeds of 25 Mbps to help families working and studying at home to keep up with their daily tasks online.
