Why is PLDT now charging a Late Payment Fee?
The Late Payment Fee is meant to encourage on-time, full payments and help customers avoid service interruptions due to missed or delayed payments.
Is the Late Payment Fee approved by the NTC?
Yes. The ₱50.00 (VAT exclusive) or ₱56.00 (VAT inclusive) Late Payment Fee complies with the guidelines set by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) and aligns with standard industry practices to encourage timely payments. Following regulatory requirements, the NTC was notified 30 days before the implementation of the fee.
How much is the Late Payment Fee?

The Late Payment Fee is clearly shown on your billing statement, usually listed as a separate line item.
How can I set up automatic bill payments to avoid late payment fees?

Why was I charged a Late Payment Fee even though I already paid?
The Late Payment Fee may have been applied because your payment was posted after the due date, or the amount paid was less than the total due. If you believe this was a mistake, please contact us so we can review your account and make any necessary corrections.
If I make a partial payment on or before the due date, will I still be charged a Late Payment Fee? If yes, will it be prorated based on the unpaid balance?
Yes, a Late Payment Fee of ₱50.00 (VAT exclusive) or ₱56.00 (VAT inclusive) will still apply if your payment is partial or insufficient, even if it’s made on or before the due date. Please note that this fee is fixed and not prorated. It applies if there are any unpaid overdue or current charges remaining on your account.
If I pay only the monthly service fee and leave the toll charges unpaid, will I still be charged a Late Payment Fee?
Yes, a Late Payment Fee of ₱50.00 (VAT exclusive) or ₱56.00 (VAT inclusive) still applies if any part of your bill is unpaid by the due date. This includes both recurring charges, like the Monthly Service Fee, and non-recurring charges, such as toll fees.
Will I still be charged a late payment fee if my account is already temporarily disconnected?
No, the ₱50.00 (VAT exclusive) or ₱56.00 (VAT inclusive) Late Payment Fee will no longer be applied once your account has been temporarily disconnected due to non-payment.
If I request a due date extension, will I still be charged a Late Payment Fee?
Yes, a due date extension will still result in a ₱50.00 (VAT exclusive) or ₱56.00 (VAT inclusive) Late Payment Fee if no payment is made on or before the due date. The fee is based on the billing cut-off, not the extended due date.
I’m currently enrolled in the Extended Credit Arrangement (ECA). Will I still be charged a Late Payment Fee?
Customers with an active Extended Credit Arrangement (ECA) must pay both the agreed installment and current charges on time. Failure to pay will be considered a late payment and will result in a ₱50.00 (VAT exclusive) or ₱56.00 (VAT inclusive) Late Payment Fee.
I'm enrolled in Automatic Debit Arrangement (ADA). If there's a delay in payment between my bank and PLDT, will I still be charged a Late Payment Fee?
Only accounts enrolled in ADA using a credit card are exempt from late payment fees—unless the transaction fails (e.g., due to an expired or over-limit card). In such cases, the payment is considered late, and a ₱50.00 (VAT exclusive) or ₱56.00 (VAT inclusive) Late Payment Fee will apply.
I paid through GCash, but the payment has not posted to PLDT yet. Will I still be charged a Late Payment Fee?
If your payment through GCash is not posted on time, a Late Payment Fee may apply. However, the fee can be reversed if it can be confirmed that the delay was caused by the merchant or payment system, not by the customer.
If my request to waive the Late Payment Fee is valid, can PLDT process an adjustment?
Yes, PLDT may grant an adjustment after a thorough case review. However, payments made through banks or other channels will still be considered late if they are not posted by the due date, even if the payment was made on time. To avoid the Late Payment Fee, we recommend using digital payment channels to ensure that your payment is posted before the due date.
Can I request a printed copy of my bill if it includes Late Payment Fee charges?
PLDT now provides 100% electronic Statements of Account (e-SOA). Customers may refer to the e-SOA sent to their registered email and print a copy at their convenience.
