1. What is TVolution?

It is a small but powerful device that transforms your TV into an Internet TV.

2. Who can avail of TVolution?

TVolution is available to all PLDT Home Fibr subscribers, to all PLDT Home DSL subscribers who are at Plan 999 or higher, and to all PLDT Home Bro Ultera subscribers.

3. What can you do with your TVolution?

You can access other websites such as Facebook and YouTube. You can also use it to run apps, such as Spinnr and HOME Player.

4. What kind of apps can TVolution run?

TVolution is an Android device that can run most standard Android Apps. A selection of compatible apps is available via PLDT knAPPsack.

5. What kind of TV is compatible with TVolution?

TVolution is compatible with any TV that has an HDMI port.

6. How much do I have to pay for TVolution?

Home DSL and Fibr subscribers can avail of TVolution for only P199/month. Home Bro Ultera subscribers can avail of TVolution for only a one-time fee of P1,700 and P199/month.

7. Is there a lock-in period for this service?

The service has a lock-in period of 36 months for Home DSL and Fibr subscribers and 24 months for Home Bro Ultera subscribers. You will own the TVolution unit at the end of this lock-in period.

8. Is there an option to pay a one-time fee to get TVolution?

You may pay a one-time fee of P4,500 to avail of TVolution at any PLDT Sales and Service Center. You no longer have to pay the P199/month if you pay the one-time fee.

9. What are the warranty and return policies for TVolution?

TVolution has a full replacement warranty for one year.

10. What are the services that come with your TVolution?

TVolution comes pre-loaded with the following Apps:

  • News5 – get the latest local news
  • KnAppsack – download more apps from PLDT such as EA Games and Spinnr
  • Browser – standard Internet browser to surf sites such as Google, Facebook, or YouTube
  • Kingsoft Open Office – create and edit documents for office and personal use

Step 1: How To Connect TVolution To Your TV

  1. Attach the HDMI cable to the TVolution HDMI port and the TV HDMI port.
  2. Attach the mini-USB cable to the TVolution and the power adapter. Plug the power adapter to a power outlet.
  3. Wait until the red light in the USB port turns blue. Your TVolution will boot up once the light turns blue.

Step 2: How To Synch Your Remote Control For TVolution

  1. Insert two AAA batteries into the remote control.
  2. Press "OK" and the "Volume Up" button simultaneously until the check appears on the screen. Once the check appears, your remote is now ready to use.

Step 3: How To Connect TVolution To Your WiFi Connection

  1. After synching your remote control, a list of available WiFi connections will appear.
  2. Choose your WiFi connection and enter the password. You may connect a USB keyboard to the regular USB port to help facilitate typing.
  3. Press the "Connect" button.

1. I find it hard to use the remote control, what are my other options?

You can use the Telpad as a remote control by downloading the remote control app. Just follow the instructions at the back of your TVolution box. You may also use an Android or iOS phone for this purpose. Alternatively, you can connect a mouse and keyboard to the USB ports of your TVolution. This is highly recommended for full web surfing and for creating documents.

2. I connected my TV to the TVolution, but nothing is displayed. What can I do?

Make sure your TVolution is properly connected to the power supply and TV. Check that the HDMI port on the TV is working, and that the TV is set to HDMI input. If the problem persists, your TVolution may be in sleep mode or the HDMI cable may be damaged. Either wake up your TVolution by pressing on the remote control, or replace the HDMI cable.

3. I connected my TV to the TVolution , but the image is not displayed properly. I am seeing color distortion, or color bars. What can I do?

Make sure the TVolution is securely connected to the HDMI port on your TV. Then go to Settings > Screen resize setting to change the parameters. If the problem persists, the HDMI cable may be damaged. Please replace the HDMI cable.

4. After I connected my TV to the TVOLUTION, the image is displaying properly but there is no sound. What can I do?

Check that your TV and TVOLUTION are not muted and the volume has not been turned down too low.

5. I cannot pair my Remote Control with my TVOLUTION. What can I do?

Check that the batteries have sufficient power and are installed correctly. If the problem persists, the Remote Control may not be compatible with your TVolution – make sure to use the one provided by PLDT.

6. What can I do if the remote control is not responsive?

Check that the batteries have sufficient power and are installed correctly. Stay within 8 meters of the TVolution.

7. How do I re-synch my remote control with my TVolution?

Use a different control device to go to the TVolution's Settings > Bluetooth, and choose Scan for device. Press and hold “Ok” and “Volume Up” on your Bluetooth remote control simultaneously. Until Connected is displayed under the remote control name, release the buttons on the Bluetooth remote control.

8. I cannot install the remote control application for the Telpad or Android Phone. What can I do?

Make sure you completely remove any pre-existing remote control application. Then download the application and install it again.

9. I cannot access the Internet. What can I do?

Make sure you have entered the correct password for the wireless network and your wireless router is working properly and is connected to the Internet. If it is connected to the Internet, disconnect the TVolution from the power supply and restart it.

10. How do I view other applications installed with the TVOLUTION?

Go to your TVolution's “General Applications” page.

11. How do I improve my TVolution's wireless reception?

  • Make sure that the TV is not blocking the TVolution.
  • Keep your TVolution away from sources of interference, such as microwaves, electromagnetic ovens, and similar devices.
  • Place the TVolution near the wireless router.
  • Use a device, such as a WiFi repeater, to expand the coverage area.

12. How do I connect the TVolution to a computer monitor?

You need an HDMI to VGA or HDMI to DVI cable.

13. My TVolution cannot identify a USB hard disk. What can I do?

Your portable hard disk may not have sufficient power. Connect the portable hard disk to the USB Y cable's extended port or use another external power supply.

14. My TVolution cannot detect a USB flash drive or microSD card connected to it. What can I do?

Reconnect the USB flash drive or microSD card to your TVolution. If the problem persists, disconnect the TVolution from the power supply and restart it.

15. How do I reset my TVolution to its original settings?

Go to Settings > All Settings > ADVANCED > User Settings, and select Factory data reset.
