One of the fitness trackers that’s recently made waves in the market is Xiaomi’s newest model, the Smart Band 7. Building on the advancements made by its predecessor without costing users an arm and a leg, the smartwatch is in an excellent position to continue holding the title of most affordable tracker for another year, despite competition from other brands in the budget fitness tracker market.
Read this if you’re planning on making that next upgrade!
If you’re still deciding whether or not you deserve the upgrade, here’s everything you need to know about the Xiaomi Mi Band 7!
It has fresh new training metrics.
From Xiaomi Global Official Website
The Xiaomi Mi Band 7’s fitness and health tracking capabilities have been drastically improved with 110+ sports modes (from the Smart Band 6’s 30 fitness modes) on the new band. Even though that’s probably more than any one user would need, it’s excellent for multisport fans on a tight budget!
A fresh emphasis on training metrics has been added to these new modes, with the Smart Band 7 tracking your exercise volume, length of recovery, and training results. These three elements provide a more comprehensive picture than simple measures like calories burned and workout duration, helping contextualize the effects exercise has on the body.
While the Mi Fitness app has been updated to save health and fitness stats, older smartphones are advised to switch back to using the Zepp Health app. You can do that with the fastest and most reliable home broadband offered by PLDT Home’s Fiber Plus Plans.
It has many health features.

Another new function that tracks maximal oxygen use is VO2 max monitoring. Continuous SpO2 monitoring, which was first introduced on the Xiaomi Smart Band 6, also tracks blood oxygen saturation levels, so you can receive an alert if the percentage drops below 90%.
This will have useful applications for people with respiratory illnesses; however, it’s still not advertised and intended for medical use.
Additionally, the Xiaomi Smart Band 7 monitors stress levels and informs you if it’s getting too high. It also tracks your sleep patterns and analyzes your breathing patterns while you’re sleeping, which may indicate underlying health issues like sleep apnea.
It has better battery life.
From Xiaomi Global Official Website
In comparison to the Xiaomi Smart Band 6, the 7’s battery life claims to last 14 days of average use and 9 days of heavy use.
We would encourage you to hold off until you have read our complete assessment because that does not include the usage of the always-on display and it’s unclear how extensively the SpO2 features are employed within these estimates.
It has a bigger and better screen with more stylish color options.
From Xiaomi Global Official Website
The Xiaomi Smart Band 7 now boasts a 1.67-inch AMOLED display, an increase from the previous generation's 1.56-inch screen. Additionally, the screen resolution increased to 192 x 490. According to Xiaomi, the usable screen area has increased by 25% from the Xiaomi Smart Band 6, making it easier and more enjoyable to use.
The ability to keep the screen always on so that it doesn’t go dark while you aren’t using it is also a significant change to the display. Xiaomi has released 100 watch faces as part of that upgrade, with low-power variants for when the band is idle.
The color options include black, orange, olive, pink, ivory, and blue. Additional band alternatives include neon green, neon orange, khaki green, and neon blue.
Whether it’s your first time buying a Xiaomi Smart Band or you’re looking to get that upgrade, the new Xiaomi Smart 7 promises great design and awesome fitness and health updates!
