There’s no denying it — one of the many things Filipinos love about Korean culture is the K-Drama. These stories from our Asian neighbors have taken entertainment by storm since they started arriving on free television in 2003. We’ve fallen in love with the characters, cried with them in their saddest moments, rejoiced in their happiest, and participated in their struggles.

Not the series’ main men, but these on-screen abeojis win our hearts every time!

While a prominent theme in K-Dramas is often romantic love, there are many types of love also explored in these stories. There’s platonic love between friends, a child’s filial love for a parent, and parents’ familial love for their children.

There are so many memorable families in past and modern K-Dramas alike; and with Father’s Day upon us, it’s time we put the spotlight on the best abeojis currently streaming on Viu. (WARNING: Minor spoilers ahead if you haven’t seen any of these dramas!)
