On September 12 (September 13 - Philippine Standard Time), the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences will award the best TV and streaming series in America through the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards. This is to give recognition to the finest creative and technical works in the field of entertainment television from June 1, 2022, to May 31, 2022.

These outstanding HBO shows swept those noms left and right!

As the nomination and voting period concluded early this year, the Academy has publicized the final list of nominees—works that exhibited exceptional performance in various fields deemed integral to the production process.

In the 67th Emmys in 2015, Game of Thrones set a new Guinness record by winning the most number of awards in a single season. The show’s fifth season bagged 12 awards out of 24 nominations. They repeated this feat in 2016, winning 12 awards out of 23 nominations. (Stream Game of Thrones on HBO Go here!)
