AB_6 K-Dramas To Watch On Viu If You Love The Male Leads Of Young Actors’ Retreat

The much-awaited variety show, Young Actors’ Retreat, recently had its exclusive premiere on Viu Premium.  We couldn’t help but be blown away by the massive star power the series is bringing its viewers. Imagine seeing the cast members of Love in the Moonlight, Itaewon Class, and The Sound of Magic on one screen. It’s every K-drama fan’s dream!

Bring the boys out! Consider us obsessed!

It’s a joy to see all the cast members interacting, but if we’re being honest, we’re also swooning over the three male leads—Park Seo-joon, Ji Chang-wook, and Park Bo-gum! So if one episode a week is not enough to satisfy your thirst for these cuties, here are six K-dramas starring these three fine men you can binge-watch on Viu Premium with PLDT Home!

Park Seo-joon

What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim

Park Seo-joon plus rom-com is always a winning formula, but many have said his chemistry with actress Park Min-young in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim is unbeatable. Watch to see the actor as pompous (and sometimes unhinged, LOL!) CEO Lee Young-joon suddenly realizes he has romantic feelings for his secretary Kim Mi-so when the latter quits her job because she’s had enough of his arrogance. It’s a light and funny show that will have you squealing over the two leads!

Fight for My Way

This drama is relatable on so many levels as it tackles the challenges the working class faces as they try to make their dreams come true while living paycheck to paycheck. Keeping things interesting is a blossoming romance between childhood best friends Ko Dong-man (Park Seo-joon) and Choi Ae-ra (Kim Ji-won), who are crossing the line from being just friends to lovers. Fight for My Way is refreshing with none of the usual K-drama tropes, so you’re sure to enjoy each episode!

Ji Chang-wook

Backstreet Rookie

Ji Chang-wook nails his serious and funny sides in this webtoon-inspired K-drama. The actor plays Choi Dae-hyun, a convenience store owner struggling to keep his business afloat because of low sales. After he hires part-timer Jung Saet Byul (played by actress Kim Yoo-jung), he suddenly lucks out in both business and love. Ji Chang-wook and Kim Yoo-jung are also in the Young Actors’ Retreat, so watch Backstreet Rookie and then check out their reunion in the variety show!

Suspicious Partner

They say Suspicious Partner is one of Ji Chang-wook’s best dramas, and for a good reason; this legal drama brings thrills and features a charming romance between the two leads. Ji Chang-wook is prosecutor turned lawyer Noh Ji-wook, who defends his former intern Eun Bong-hee (played by actress Nam Ji-hyun) when she becomes the prime suspect in a murder case. They work together to clear Eun Bong-hee’s name and find the real culprit, and the two fall in love in the process.

Park Bo Gum

Encounter

Park Bo-gum embraces a more mature vibe alongside actress Song Hye-kyo in this hit melodrama about a young man and a divorcée who find themselves drawn to each other after a fateful — you guessed it — Encounter. For the seasoned K-drama watcher, it’s a familiar plot but exquisitely done with many touching and heartfelt moments.

Love in the Moonlight

Love in the Moonlight features a lighthearted romance between Crown Prince Lee Yeong (Park Bo-gum) and Hong Ra On (Kim Yoo-jung), a woman forced to disguise herself as a eunuch inside the place. Apart from the emotional and engaging story, you’ll also find yourself marveling at the beautiful costumes and setting, as expected from a period drama!
