AB_Play It Loud_ Our Favorite Anime Opening Theme Songs

The joy of watching anime doesn’t have to be restricted to the animation itself. Sure, the point of watching these shows is because of their animation, but sometimes the music presented at the beginning of each episode can set the overall mood and swing of the show. These songs are also meant to tease some aspect of the show in a funky or dramatic form.

MUST-NOT-SKIP! These anime openings are just insane bops to miss!

Now if you want a platform to watch juicy anime series, you can satisfy your urge to binge on Viu Premium with PLDT Home! With that said, let us begin a list of our top anime bops!

Attack on Titan S1 - Feuerroter Pfeil und Bogen

First up is an iconic opening from the highly popular Attack on Titan. The song is titled in German but directly translates to "Crimson Bow and Arrow," which honestly encompasses the song's overall feel as it presents short clips of the show.

The song is upbeat and gives an empowering vibe making use of backup vocals and consistent guitar riffs to really enforce the “Yeah! We are here, and we are going to overcome everything!” message, making sure the audience knows who the main characters and main villains are—for this case being humans versus massive titans. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood S1 - Again

Next up, we have Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood's 2009 season 1 opening song entitled "Again" by YUI. This song is accompanied by an aching and soulful guitar paired with YUI's sweet vocals, capturing the audience's heart but also representing the pain of the hero brothers of the series.

You may shed more tears when you find out the song discusses that life is too long to give up the things we love, especially the ones considered unfinished; so if you want a feels trip, grab some headphones, crank it up to seven and enjoy this masterpiece. Kaguya-sama: Love is War S1 - Love Dramatic

Suzuki Masayuki is such a bangin' singer, creating all the hip-moving OP songs of Kaguya-sama: Love is War, which is why it was tough choosing one song from his incredible line-up. However, after much thought and a few replays of each OP, we have to go with the first season OP entitled "Love Dramatic."

I don't use perfection often, but this song, paired with the series's tidbits of clips, was insanely spectacular. If you were to watch anime shows based on their ops, watching this will give you a vivid clue of what this show is about and how the main love interests feel about each other. The plus side of this song is having the actual voice actors of Kaguya and Miyuki sing them—it gets the heart pounding and the feet grooving. Hats off to the whole team who participated in this show. takt op. Destiny - Takt

You’re crying, not me! Sorry, but not all anime OP has to be upbeat, even if the anime revolves around internal turmoil and external fights with otherworldly beings. The classical OP of takt op, yes the name is quite confusing but don’t worry, has a wonderful arrangement of strings and iconic piano thanks to Ryo and Mafumafu.

Both artists started in the Vocaloid scene and similarly followed the same structure from their roots, providing their audience with a melodic intro, an intense bridge, and a sweet yet abrupt end. I remember seeing the op for the first time and clearly felt how my heart dropped hearing and seeing its beautiful visuals. If you are a classical and jazz enthusiast, I highly recommend this show!

Music is a powerful medium to motivate and rejuvenate individuals fully. It holds culture, stories, and soul-centered messages that can be interpreted differently. Just like how people like different food, they like other types of music that birth even more variations of songs and music structures that can reach the moon and back. Watch takt op. Destiny on Viu Premium with PLDT Home!
