Movies are an excellent means to escape the busy world we all live
in; they distract, excite, and, most importantly, keep us entertained.
While some people get hyped when a well-loved book series gets a movie
adaptation, others might feel the same if their favorite movie drama
gets a sequel. But for us gamers, our hearts ignite whenever we see a
gaming-themed movie show itself on the big screens of the cinema.
So prep your favorite munchin’ snack and kick your feet up with a list of lit, must-watch gaming-themed movies–brought to you by your favorite HBO Go platform!

Let’s kick off this list with a blast from the past, and I’m speaking from way back in the 2010s when this was released. As a kid, I didn’t know what to expect from this show because I was just scrolling through channels before my 9
PM bedtime, but as soon as I saw their comic book-style fight scenes paired with killer music, I was immediately hooked.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World revolves around a young gentleman from Toronto named Scott who falls in love with a fiery girl named Ramona. Falling in love is the easy part for Scott, but to get to Ramona, he must punch, kick, and rock out through
her evil exes to finally win it all. You can watch Scott Pilgrim vs. the World on HBO Go with PLDT Home!
Hunger Games

Is anyone game to volunteer as a tribute, just like Katniss Everdeen? Maybe not? That's alright; not everyone can engage in a battle royale game that places you against other people ready to kill. Instead, you can enjoy this kickass movie in Lionsgate Play with PLDT Home and join Katniss’ journey as she represents her district in a worldwide televised death-defying game. Watch how one girl changes the structure of TheHunger Games in
her own slick way, fighting for true freedom for her district and other districts. Will she succeed? Find the answer by watching it!
Mortal Kombat

What is that one bloody game again? Hmm, that's right, it's Mortal Kombat! The first Mortal Kombat graced gamers with its bloody and gory gameplay in 1992, allowing players to snap necks, pull out spines, and decimate body parts of other
characters–over the top, not going to lie, but some players are all for it.
With its massive popularity, Warner Bros., alongside Atomic Monster studios, created a modernized 2021 cinema version of the popular franchise that revolves around a washed-up mixed martial arts fighter named Coule Young who, little by little, discovers
his hidden fighting heritage. Stream Mortal Kombat on HBO Go with PLDT Home!
Pixels

Best consumed for all, whether young or old, Pixels is a good watch for the whole family. This 2015 movie provides an apocalyptic, or at least soon-to-be apocalyptic, setting that has aliens misinterpret popular classic 90’s video games
as a declaration of war against them, prompting them to attack earth using these game models as their models of attack. It is now up to the wonderful cast consisting of Kevin James, Adam Sandler, Peter Dinklage, and more to defeat the aliens and save
the planet. Retro games and comedy, who can ask for a better pair? Stream Pixels on HBO Go with PLDT Home!
