Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist

Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist started the month right when it began streaming on August 2. It is a new South Korean series starring Kim Min-jae (Yoo Se Poong) in the title role, along with Kim Hyang-gi (Seo Eun Woo) and Kim Sang-kyung (Kye Ji Han). This drama was based on the novel of the same name that won the Excellence Award in the 2016 Korea Story Contest, depicting the stories of psychiatrists in Joseon. Today’s Webtoon

Today’s Webtoon just arrived in Viu at the end of July! It is a romantic comedy based on a popular Japanese manga, “Junhan Shuttai!” by Naoko Matsuda. The drama stars Kim Se Jeong, a multi-talented Korean actress who recently shot to fame for her prominent role in Business Proposal. She plays On Ma Eum, a Judo athlete who was forced to retire from her sporting career due to an accident. Now working in a webtoon department, Ma Eum faces difficulties adjusting to this new environment.
The drama takes a peek into the behind-the-scenes of the webtoon industry, where passionate artists, writers, and trainees forge their way to bring the best webtoons to readers! Today’s Webtoon also stars Daniel Choi (Seok Ji-Hyung) and Nam Yoon-Soo (Ku Joon-Young). Here’s the trailer:
Dear X Who Doesn’t Love Me

Another new romance drama to watch is Dear X Who Doesn’t Love Me. It is a 2022 South Korean drama about love with a twist of fantasy! It tells the story of Seo Hee-Soo (Han Ji-Hyo), a university student and an aspiring song lyricist. She has never had a boyfriend in her life, and she suddenly gets involved with different men through the power of a magical notebook. Watch the trailer below:
If You Wish Upon Me

The slice-of-life drama If You Wish Upon Me was inspired by a real-life foundation in the Netherlands that fulfills the wishes of terminal cancer patients. It stars the popular heartthrob Ji Chang-wook and Girls’ Generation’s Choi Soo-young. Chang-wook will star as Yoon Gyeo Re, a man who has been pushed to his limits due to his difficult life full of struggles. However, he finds his life changing unexpectedly while helping make the patients’ wishes come true. Secret Royal Inspector & Joy (Tagalog Dubbed)
