Nothing excites your average gamer more than a brand, spanking new game release, especially if they are promised to blow minds and elevate your gaming experience. The new year is looking great as everything proceeds to normalcy, and we hope this goes the same for games. With that said, we present a list of games our NextUpgrade gamers are looking forward to this year!

2023 will be a banger for gamers!

Assassins Creed Mirage

PC | PlayStation | Xbox

First on this list is Assassins Creed Mirage which takes place in Baghdad, Iraq. The storyline dates years before the timeline of the current Valhalla installation and is a coming-of-age story revolving around the protagonist, Basim Ibn Ishaq. As we know, the recent trilogy of Assassins Creed has leaned towards the RPG structure; however, Ubisoft promises its fans that it will reconnect with what made them stand out in the first place—parkour and stealthy assassinations.

This is definitely in our sights, and we here at NextUpgrade hope that their promise for a linear, rich storyline with awesome parkour will be present for 2023’s installment. The release date is expected to be on March 9, 2023.

Call of Duty Warzone Mobile

Mobile

The modern cellular phone only keeps getting better and better. So it's only natural that popular titles such as Warzone would be integrated into the platform—because everyone has a phone. In addition, it has been confirmed that Warzone mobile will bring a smaller, action-focused mode that keeps players engaged and invested.

Registration for its beta test has been out for a while since its September announcement, but we are excited about its promise to bring 120 active players into the map. Bots will naturally be there but only to improve matchmaking time when needed. Call of Duty Warzone Mobile is expected to launch sometime on May 2023.

The Day Before

PC | PlayStation | Xbox

Missing the golden era of Left 4 Dead? Do you yearn for the thrill of playing a character that eradicates the plagued world of zombies? Perhaps you want to do it online with friends? Don’t worry; we do, too, which is why we are giddy about the game developed by Fntastic entitled The Day Before.

This game is a massive online, open-world survival game set in the post-pandemic country of America. Like popular games such as The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, Dying Light, etc., the game's premise is to survive with whatever nature can offer while under the constant co-existence of brain-consuming zombies. The game is advertised to release on March 2, 2023.

Dark and Darker

PC

Tarkov meets Dungeons and Dragons; who could’ve asked for a better combo?! Developed by IRONMACE studios, Dark and Darker is an unforgiving hardcore fantasy FPS dungeon crawler game that gives you a PvPvE experience. You can dive in solo or in a party of up to three players. You can now play as your favorite DnD class and battle it out with players and see who has the better skill. This game previously had open-play tests but is expected to release in the fourth quarter of 2023. Damn, why can’t it come sooner?

Valorant Mobile

Mobile

Popular on PC and will most likely be popular on mobile. Riot is taking their groundbreaking FPS game Valorant to mobile, expanding their player base even more. This is exciting news because we can take one of our favorite game and play it whenever and wherever. The exact release date hasn’t been announced; however, it was reported that beta testing began in China back in 2022. Nothing concrete has been placed out from Riot themselves. However, there are several instances of leaks of information riddled online.

If you want to access information faster and without interruption, the solution lies with PLDT Home’s Fiber Plus plans. Experience a speedy and stable internet connection so you can remain on top of online updates anytime!
