Mariah Carey has topped the charts globally and has filled stadiums and arenas to the brim around the world. On the 28th of October 2014, the SM Mall of Asia Arena was jam-packed with welcoming fans from all over the country, ready to see the five-time Grammy-award-winning artist Mariah Carey perform the timeless tunes that they all know and love.
Presented by the home’s most powerful broadband, PLDT HOME Fibr, the Philippine leg of The Elusive Chanteuse Show is part of the singer-songwriter’s eighth concert tour which was launched in support of her 14th studio album, Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteusen
Carey made sure to satisfy all music cravings by giving the best of both her most memorable classics and her novel hits. Songs such as “Heartbreaker”, “My All”, “Hero”, “Touch My Body”, “Honey”, and “I’ll Be There” were some of the crowd favorites from her classics line-up. The audience was likewise serenaded with hits from her current album such as “#Beautiful”, “Meteorite”, “Thirsty”, and “Supernatural”.
And as expected, the chanteuse brought the house down with her closing number “We Belong Together” and sensational encores “Always Be My Baby” and “Butterfly. Accompanying her legendary belts, runs, and falsettos were impressive acts by members of the band and upscale routines by a group of hip-hop and break-dancers, further amplifying the show.
