PLDT SVP and Controller and Smart Chief Financial Officer June Cheryl “Chaye” Cabal-Revilla named as Asia’s CFO of the Year at the prestigious Golden Globe Tigers Awards held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  

The CFO of the Year award is given to the exceptional leader who best embodies the role of a corporate steward as a financial expert and strategic member of the company’s top executives.

For eighteen years, Cabal-Revilla has continuously dedicated her time and effort in serving the country's leading telco PLDT and its many subsidiaries and affiliate companies as a top finance executive. She also serves as the Director and/or CFO/Treasurer of various PLDT and Smart subsidiaries, and affiliates including Pacific Global One Aviation, and PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF). She is also the CFO of the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), a consortium of the largest conglomerates and companies in the country, and the director and trustee of Tahanan Mutual Building and Loan Association.

Cabal-Revilla also serves as as Chairman of the Gabay Guro, an education arm and flagship project of the PLDT-SMART Foundation that provides scholarships, trainings, housing and educational facilities, livelihood programs, broadbanding and computerization, and teachers’ tribute. The program has also built over 45 classrooms in disaster-stricken parts of the country, provided over 1,800 scholarships at 52 partner state colleges and universities nationwide, and changed countless lives through education and empowerment of Filipino teachers. 

On top of her professional achievements, Cabal-Revilla has also earned various recognitions throughout her career such as the 2008 PICPA Young Achievers Awardee for Commerce and Industry, Business and Real Estate Who's Who (BREW) by the country's largest weekly business magazine BizNewsAsia, Outstanding Young Men (TOYM) awardee in 2013, the only female and Filipino recipient of the CFO Innovations Award in 2015 in Singapore, the only Filipina speaker at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit held in Hong Kong last year, and the only Filipina awardee at the 5th World Women Leadership Congress held in Mumbai, India in 2018. 

The Golden Globe Tigers Awards is an international body that recognizes Asia’s “tigers” – individuals and organizations – who play strategic and influential role in nation-building and shaping the future of the region.
